Description: Summit Technologies, Inc. is seeking permanent full-time Back-End Developers to work out of Charlotte, NC. Under minimal supervision, back-end developers will be responsible for building out the "server side" in web applications. Even though back-end developers focus on the inner workings of web applications, they will also work hand-in-hand with front-end developers by giving the outward facing web application elements server side logic. Back-end developers add this logic by using a server side scripting language. Candidates should expect to undertake complex projects requiring specialized technical knowledge in software design and testing.
Job Description:
  • Back end developers are responsible for handling data storage and ensuring content gets delivered to the front end.
  • Develops enterprise-level information technology solutions by analyzing, coding, testing, and implementing new software and by modifying/enhancing existing software applications.
  • Leads design/coding sessions, develops solutions, and implements solutions as part of a team.
  • Performs complex analyses of system requirements and of existing business processes and information systems.
  • Articulates design and resolves technical/design conflicts as they occur.
  • Coordinates with business analysts and users to determine requirements.
  • Develops and refines requirements working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contributes in advanced systems planning, scheduling and implementation.
  • Perform unit, system and integration testing of software.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Must have at least 7 years of Microsoft .NET development experience.
  • Extensive experience with ASP.NET
  • Extensive experience with databases specifically SQL Server and complex data models and stored procedures.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Should have experience with software engineering and architectural patterns.
  • Must have experience with the entire software development lifecycle process, best practices and coding standards.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Prefer a developer with experience in real estate and either portfolio management, asset management, investments, accounting, or finance.
  • Proficient knowledge of the back-end programming language/framework.
  • Understanding of front-end web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (to communicate with team members on the front end).
  • Ability to manage a hosting environment, including database administration as well as scaling applications to handle load changes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar along with a strong background in object oriented design, data modeling.
