Description: Summit Technologies, Inc. has employment opportunities for Sensitive Activities Planner / Compartmented Capabilities Integrator. This position requires an on-going rotation consisting of a 4-months OCONUS deployment to Afghanistan or other locations followed by an 8 month assignment for in Northern, VA area. This rotation continues for the 5 year life of the project. Job Description
In this position you will be directly supporting the Department of Defense and its efforts to identify and neutralize enemy threat networks capable of employing a myriad of improvised-threats, such as Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), and other improvised weapons of strategic effect. The successful candidate(s) will be experienced in military planning and operations in support of sensitive technical operations of counter-IED, counterterrorism, intelligence collection and target development activities.
Job Description:
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of intelligence, identify technical and/or operational gaps.
  • Develop solutions to effectively leverage specially compartmented material and non-material capabilities to eliminate or neutralize improvised threats and the networks that employ these improvised weapons in combat.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to government customers in forward-deployed hostile and non-hostile areas of operation.
  • Plan, manage and coordinate sensitive technical operations in support of counter-IED, counterterrorism, intelligence collection and target development activities.
  • Provide special access programs, special technical operations, and sensitive information operations (IO) subject matter expertise to government customers in forward-deployed hostile and non-hostile areas of operation.
  • Plan, manage and coordinate sensitive IO initiatives for U.S. Central Command and U.S. Special Operations Command.
  • Author, staff and present sensitive operational plans in alignment with the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES) and other operational planning models to senior staff and general officers.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Experience working with Joint Air Force Army Navy security policy and execution required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IED construction, usage and tactics, techniques and procedures, and current counter-IED capabilities and processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in telecommunications, including cellular networks and computer networks
  • Experience with operational planning to include writing operational plans and requirements
  • Demonstrated experience with the JOPES
  • Ability to multi-task, work with limited supervision and respond to short-notice tasks.
  • Bachelor’s degree and three or more years of experience in military planning and operations (any equivalent combination of education, relevant training, and related experience is acceptable).
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Pass all the applicable medical, dental, physical, legal and administrative requirements required by the Theater Commander, DOD and the contract for deployment.
  • Strong interpersonal, writing and speaking skills and be able to work as a member of a diverse team is a must
